City of Bellevue Rebrand and Activation
The City of Bellevue initially came to us with the desire to rebrand and market the city in order to modernize and become more desirable for young adults to move into the area and to attract attention of a few high-profile tech companies that were eyeing expansion new markets. The biggest challenge this presented was how to move the city’s brand forward while keeping its rich history in tact. A large majority of locals were also long-time residents were reluctant to the change and they needed Bellevue to still feel like home.
By combining a bright, energizing color palette and flat graphic illustrations representing historical buildings, landscapes and the local Air Force base, I was able to merge past with present in a way that that would truly represent the city for years to come.
Unfortunately, the launch of the new brand and production of campaign materials never occurred due to budgeting issues surrounding the COVID pandemic.
Activation Tactics
Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Rebrand
Even though the City of Bellevue rebrand never materialized, a city board member we initially worked with came back to us post-COVID with the need for a Bellevue Chamber of Commerce rebrand.
We presented multiple new logo concepts that were well-received, but the client loved out initial City of Bellevue logo so much that they asked if we would consider revisiting it for the Chamber rebrand. The rest is history!
I had the honor of presenting the final logo at the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce’s brand reveal party.
